TV’s biggest night was filled with tears, triumphs, and joy as the Emmys capped off a phenomenal year in television. The ceremony was hosted by comedian Nate Bargatze and aired live on CBS from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
‘Adolescence’ earned six awards with lead actor Owen Cooper becoming the youngest ever male winner in any category.
Seth Rogen won four Emmys for ‘The Studio’ that included best comedy series, best actor, best directing, and best writing.
HBO Max series ‘The Pitt’ earned three Emmys including best drama series. Noah Wyle won best actor in a drama series and Katherine LaNasa took best supporting actress in a drama series.
Tramell Tillman became the first Black man to win best supporting actor in a drama series for ‘Severance’. ‘Hacks’ stars Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder took home awards for best actress in comedy and best supporting actress in comedy respectively.
Two months after CBS announced the cancellation of ‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’, the series took best talk series. Colbert and his staff were lauded by the audience, receiving a standing ovation and chants of “Stephen! Stephen!”.
