The 12th album from singer/songwriter superstar Taylor Swift is now fully revealed. Titled The Life of a Showgirl, the 12-track album will release October 3. The album includes a collabration with another female singer/songwriter superstar, Sabrina Carpenter, on the title track. Swift has said that the album “is about what was going on behind the scenes of my inner life during this tour.”

Appearing on the New Heights podcast with her boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce on August 13, Taylor Swift fully revealed The Life of a Showgirl. The 12-track album, that she wrote while on The Eras Tour, will release on October 3. The 12 tracks are as follows:

As indicated in the title of track 12, 26-year-old singer/songwriter superstar Sabrina Carpenter will appear on the title track of the album. Having been a long-time admirer of Swift, this is a dream come true for Carpenter, at a time where she’s in the prime of her career. Getting the chance to work with Swift now will only serve to further her career to even greater heights.

Shifting focus back to The Life of a Showgirl, Taylor Swift had this to say about the album:
This album is about what was going on behind the scenes of my inner life during this tour (referring to The Eras Tour), which was so exuberant and electric and vibrant. It just comes from the most infectiously joyful, wild, dramatic place I was in in my life, and so that effervesence has come through on this record. And like you said, bangers.
During her New Heights podcast interview, she went on to say that the 12 tracks on the album will be the only songs of this era. In other words, there is no deluxe or extended version that will come during this era. In addition, she confirmed that it will be just her, Max Martin, and Shellback creating the music for the album.
In short, The Life of a Showgirl is an album curated around a specific time in Taylor Swift’s life. As a matter of fact, The Eras Tour holds the Guinness World Record for highest-grossing music tour. Therefore, writing an album about her mindset during that time will be incredibly insightful. All in all, however, Swifties around the world are just grateful that TS12 will soon be available physically and digitally, for all to have.
