Paramount+ original series ‘Mayor of Kingstown’ is preparing for its fourth season with the release of a new trailer. The Taylor Sheridan penned show explores the gloomy world of America’s incarceration system. Centered in Kingstown, Michigan, we enter a company town where incarceration funds practically everything. Jeremy Renner stars as Mike McLusky, a member of the infamous McLusky family who rule the city. Mike takes over as “mayor” of the town after the passing of his brother Mitch.
An official logline states: In season four, Mike’s control over Kingstown is threatened as new players compete to fill the power vacuum left in the Russians’ wake, compelling him to confront the resulting gang war and stop them from swallowing the town. Meanwhile, with those he loves in more danger than ever before, Mike must contend with a headstrong new Warden to protect his own while grappling with demons from his past.
Season four will feature new series regulars Edie Falco, Laura Benanti, and Lennie James. Falco will portray Nina Hobbs, the new prison warden at Anchor Bay and Benanti will play Cindy Stephens a rookie correctional officer. James will assumes the role of gangster Frank Moses.
Written by Taylor Sheridan, it is one of eight of his shows streaming on Paramount+. This includes ‘Lioness’, ‘1883’, ‘1923’, and ‘Lawman:Bass Reeves’. Other shows of his include ‘Landman’, and ‘Tulsa King’ which both return this fall. There will also be a spinoff starring Samuel L. Jackson titled ‘NOLA King’.
The ‘Mayor of Kingstown’ cast features Renner, Falco, Benanti, James, Hugh Dillon, Taylor Handley, Tobi Bamtefa, Derek Webster, Hamish Allan-Headley and Nishi Munshi.
