In short, K-Pop Demon Hunters is a smash hit for Netflix. With it being just 20.4 million views for being the most-viewed original film in Netflix history, it has made its way into theaters through its sing-along version. With the love for this film growing by the second, it has made a splash at the worldwide box office. All in all, this may encourage Netflix to try more release in theaters for their films, but time will tell for sure.
K-Pop Demon Hunters #1 At Worldwide Box Ofice

Per Variety, the sing-along version of K-Pop Demon Hunters debuted to an $18 million to $20 million domestic opening at the box office. However, take it with a grain of salt. Variety heard the number through rival studios to Netflix, as they are choosing not to publish the exact numbers. That said, if the numbers are accurate, it has beaten Weapons, which earned $15.4 million at the domestic box office. This is excellent news for fans of the monster hit Netflix Original Film. It currently has 210.5 million views and 350.9 million hours watched. Both numbers put the film second all-time for Netflix. The only film higher is Red Notice, which is sitting at 230.9 million views and 454.2 million hours watched, respectively.
In short, the film is a big hit for Netflix. The film soars even higher in numbers than ever before. It is well on its way to be Netflix’s most-viewed original film ever. As a matter of fact, the film is already the only animated film in the Top 10. That said, it has made its way into the top 10, and has gone beyond. As a result, the sky is the limit for the film from this moment forward.
A Popping Musical Hit

In conclusion, K-Pop Demon Hunters is a win-win for Netflix across the board. With bigger franchise aspirations on the way, the sky is truly the limit for a film that has become so much bigger than anyone could’ve imagined.
