October 2026 was the release window for the next film from director Jordan Peele. However, it has now been taken off the release calendar of Universal Pictures. A film originally delayed by the 2023 WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes has now been delayed again. As a matter of fact, it would appear Peele needs more time to get the film right. As for how much longer, that ultimately remains to be seen.
Jordan Peele Will Spend A Little Longer On His Next Film

Jordan Peele was set for his fourth film as a director to come out in October 2026. However, that is no longer the case. Universal Pictures has pulled the film from their 2026 release calendar, with no new date attached. According to Variety, “Peele is currently at work on the film, which has yet to roll cameras.”
Peele’s fourth film was originally supposed to be released in Decmber 2024. However, the 2023 WGA & SAG-AFTRA strikes delayed the film until October 2026. Now, the film will be delayed a second time. His last film, 2022’s Nope, made $171 million at the box office. At the time of Nope’s release, it was the highest box-office opening for an original film since Peele’s 2019 film Us. Though Nope, Us, and Peele’s first film Get Out may offer a clue as to what his next film will be, the facts will not be set in stone until cameras begin to roll.
The New Film Will Take More Time

Jordan Peele is a known filmmaker, with fans eagerly awaiting his fourth film. However, they will have to wait a while longer to see his next big screen flick. All in all, whenever it hits the screen, fans will tune it to see what Peele comes up with next.
