Man of Tomorrow Will Feature An Unlikely Team-Up

In an interview with Howard Stern, James Gunn said Man of Tomorrow will be “a story about Lex Luthor and Superman having to work together to a certain degree against a much, much bigger threat.” In addition, he stated that “it’s more complicated than that. It’s as much a Lex movie as it is a Superman movie.” On top of these details, Deadline reports April 2026 is when filming is expected to begin for the film itself. This will be ahead of the July 9, 2027 release date.
This is excellent news for fans, who are thrilled with the results of Superman. It appears that James Gunn and DC Studios also have a lot of confidence, as they have fast-tracked a follow-up film for 2027. All things considered, it appears to be shaping up to be something that Gunn is extremely proud of.
