Pixar’s newest adventure, Elio, is now streaming on Disney Plus. In the film, the title character is mistaken as the leader of Earth. As a result, this leads him to an intergalactic adventure beyond his wildest dreams. The film itself has an excellent critic and audience score. With that, families around the world will now get to experience the film for themselves, no matter where they are.

Elio, the newest film from Pixar, is now streaming on Disney Plus. It “introduces Elio, a space fanatic with an active imagination and a huge alien obsession.” From there, an intergalactic adventure ensues, where the aliens believe him to be Earth’s leader. As a result, he has to navigate an environment unlike any other, which brings with it a lot of heart and soul.
At the time of writing, Elio holds an 83% critic and 90% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Many of the critics have praised the film’s originality, unique depiction of what it means to be human, and that it deserves more love than it ultimately has gotten. For the audience, many called the film’s characters and overall story relatable, while also praising the message the film itself sent.
In short, Elio is Pixar film that seems to be enjoyed by most. According to many, it has a lot of heart, relatable messaging, and special characters, that come together to create a truly special film.

In short, Elio is the newest adventure from the animation studio Pixar. It is a film loved by critics and audience members alike, which is rare in today’s day and age. Therefore, the newest film from Pixar is an outlier of sorts, that brings forwrd relatable messaging, passionate characters, and compelling effects to create something unique and special, that can be loved by everyone for a long time to come.
Elio stars Yonas Kibreab, Zoe Saldaña, Remy Edgerly, Young Dylan, Matthias Schweighöfer, Brandon Moon, Brad Garrett, and Jameela Jamil. It is directed by Madeline Sharafian, Domee Shi, and Adrian Molina, and written by Julia Cho, Mark Hammer, and Mike Jones. It released in theaters worldwide June 20, 2025, and on Disney Plus September 17, 2025.
