This is the way, as the first official trailer and poster for The Mandalorian and Grogu has been released. The first Star Wars film since 2019’s The Rise of Skywalker, it is promising a return to the action and adventure fans know and love from Din Djarin and his apprentice Grogu. However, it will come to the big screen in a whole new way.
First Look At The Mandalorian and Grogu Released

The first official trailer and poster for The Mandalorian and Grogu is now out online. In the trailer, fans will see a new form of adventure in it and the movie itself, with the first synopsis reading:
The evil Empire has fallen, and Imperial warlords remain scattered throughout the galaxy. As the fledgling New Republic works to protect everything the Rebellion fought for, they have enlisted the help of legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his young apprentice Grogu (as himself).
Like the very first trailer for the first season of The Mandalorian, this trailer contains very little dialogue. Instead, it mostly contains various action and other shots strung together. It shows some classic Din Djarin action, a reveal of a buffed version of Jabba the Hutt’s son Rotta, last seen in “Sphere of Influence,” a 2010 episode of The Clone Wars, and the first public look of Sigourney Weaver’s character Ward. The trailer ends with Din and Grogu toppling over an AT-AT walker, with the new logo being revealed shortly thereafter.
This Is The Way In May 2026

The Mandalorian and Grogu stars Pedro Pascal, Grogu, Sigourney Weaver, Jeremy Allen White, and Jonny Coyne. It is directed by Jon Favreau, who also wrote the film alongside Dave Filoni. Both men are producers on the film, alongside Coyne and Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy. Lucasfilm is the official production company, with Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictueres as the distributor. The film releases in theaters May 22, 2026.
