This is excellent news for parent company Warner Brothers Discovery. In addition, this is excellent news for fans of the show, who will continue to advocate for more to be told with the character they have come to know and love.
The Pitt Now Has The Highest Post-Season Growth For Debut Season In HBO History

Since the season finale of The Pitt Season One, its viewership on HBO Max has spiked “80% to amass more than 18M global viewers per episode.” According to parent company Warner Brothers Discovery, that is an all-time record. In addition, since the week of the finale, the series had its highest week of viewership the week after the Emmys. This is excellent news for the fans and Warner Brothers Discovery, especially with the second season currently in production and set to release early next year. In terms of plot for Season Two, it “will take place over Fourth of July weekend during a day-long shift, which will likely see all kinds of ER patients.”
The Pitt stars Noah Wyle, Tracy Ifeachor, Patrick Ball, Katherine LaNasa, Supriya Ganesh, Fiona Dourif, Taylor Dearden, Isa Briones, Gerran Howell, and Shabana Azeez. R. Scott Gemmill is the series’ showrunner, as well as its creator. Warner Brothers Television is the lead production companny, alongside John Wells Productions and R. Scott Gemmill Productions. Season Two will premiere in early 2026.
