Madison Square Garden (MSG) welcomed Dua Lipa for four sold-out nights with iconic covers and special guests. The Radical Optimism Tour is Dua Lipa’s tour for her third studio album. Lipa turned MSG into a dance club with confetti, colorful lights, bold outfits, and hits like “Be The One,” “Don’t Start Now,” and “Levitating.”
“Pinch me, pinch me! 4 SOLD OUT NIGHTS AT MSG!!! 4 unforgettable nights filled with the most electric, unstoppable energy. I am so deeply grateful to every single one of you who came out and shook the house down with me!! Your love is something I’ll carry forever,” said Lipa on her MSG Instagram post.
The Radical Optimism Tour at Madison Square Garden kicked off last Wednesday with a tribute to Alicia Keys. On every show, Lipa honors local legends with covers of their iconic songs. Lipa introduced her cover of Keys’ “No One” with a throwback video of her younger self singing the song. It was a full-circle moment in Lipa’s musical journey.
Lipa also covered Blondie‘s “One Way or Another” for the second night. The singer wrapped up her last two nights with surprise guests Lenny Kravitz and Nile Rodgers. On her third night, she performed Chic’s “Le Freak,” a disco classic, with Rodgers. She closed her MSG run with ‘It Ain’t Over ’Til It’s Over’ Duet With Kravitz.
“An extra special thank you to two absolute New York LEGENDS who joined me on stage: the incomparable @nilerodgers on Saturday and the one and only @lennykravitz on Sunday. Sharing the stage with you, singing the very songs that shaped me as an artist, was nothing short of a dream come true,” said Lipa on Instagram.
