The owners of America’s Funniest Home Videos are looking at the next big video competition series. Now, they have seem to find their stride. V10 Entertainment and Vice Studios will create Clip Bait, a new tournament-based clip competition series. They will look to grab the attention of those who love AFV, while taking things to a whole new level.
Clip Bait Brings An Exciting New Concept

V10 Entertainment and Vice Studios, the creators of popular video competition series America’s Funniest Home Videos, are starting something brand-new. Clip Bait will pit “online videos opposite each other in a tournament, as each clip is judged by a panel of content creators.” This will lead up to a “live, interactive finale,” where a champion will be chosen. Head of Non-scripted Developement for Vice Studios, Joe Ingham, described the series as being a “big, beautiful, bonkers format that is part banter, part treasure hunt, and totally participatory.”
Ingham will exec produce the series for Vice Studios. John Stevens and Rick de Oliveira will do the same, but on behalf of V10 Entertainment. Global distrubution rights for the series “are currently being shopped at the Mipcom international television market.”
A New Clip-Based Show Is On The Horizon

Clip Bait will make its way to television screens in the near future. A new tournament-based video clips series has the chance to bring in excellent ratings, but only time will tell as to whether or not it will work out in their favor.
