Now, the answer has revealed itself. Oscar-nominated actor Colman Domingo will voice the iconic character in the upcoming sequel, premiering in theaters in November. With that, the stage is set, and an iconic character will be voiced by one of the more talented actors of this generation.
Colman Domingo Is Heading To Oz
Colman Domingo is the newest member who is off to see the wizard. Universal Pictures has revealed the Oscar-nominated actor will voice the Cowardly Lion in Wicked For Good. In comparison to the first time, fans will see the Cowardly Lion go from “the cub who’s now fully grown into the Cowardly Lion, who blames Elphaba for his situation.”
Wicked For Good stars Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, Jonathan Bailey, Jeff Goldblum, Michelle Yeoh, Marissa Bode, Ethan Slater, Bowen Yang, and Bronwyn James. They hail from a script written by Winnie Holzman and Dana Fox. Jon M. Chu directs the film. It will release worldwide in theaters beginning November 21.
