For example, a post from Destiny Jackson from Deadline reads that the film is: “an epic and heartbreakingly tender conclusion to one of the most dynamic friendships in pop culture history.” In addition, Jazz Tangcay from Variety writes: “Cynthia Erivo is magnificent, but get ready for Ariana Grande as she takes this performance to the next level and is a tour de force.” Finally, Chris Murphy from Vanity Fair writes: “Cynthia and Ari take their performances to the next level with jaw-dropping performances. The film fully sticks the landing.”
In short, the reactions are clear. “Wicked For Good” is an emotionally and sensational conclusion to the story of this Broadway adaptation. “Wicked For Good” stars Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, Bowen Yang, Marissa Bode, Michelle Yeoh, and Jeff Goldblum. Colman Domingo will guest star as the Cowardly Lion, as first reported last week. Directed by Jon M. Chu and written by Winnie Holzman and Dana Fox, the film, distributed by Universal Pictures, will release worldwide November 21. This will follow select premieres in specific cities around the world, including London, Paris, and New York City.
