Fans of Netflix show ‘The Hunting Wives’ will soon return to the scandalous woods of Texas as filming for the new season has officially begun.
Netflix confirmed in September that ‘The Hunting Wives’ had been renewed for another season. The eight episode season will be filmed in the US. Key players in the first season are set to return including Lionsgate, Rebecca Cutter and Erwin Stoff.
“At the start of Season 2, Sophie and Margo are on the outs. But soon enough, old secrets and new foes force them back together. As they play their dangerous games the question arises. Are they the hunters or the hunted?”
In an interview with USA Today, Cutter explained that the events of season one segue into season two.
“Season 1 ends in a place where it could go a lot of different directions, and I have an idea of what I think is the right direction,” Cutter said, adding that because the murder mystery storyline and the relationship between Margo and Sophie drive the show, Season 2 would have to “weave those things together.”
A release date for season two of ‘The Hunting Wives’ hasn’t been announced. Casting calls for extras were posted earlier this month and there will be many returners.
