Jeon Somi has announced her first single in nearly a full year. “EXTRA,” her 10th single release, will release July 7 at 6 p.m. KST. This translates to 5 a.m. EDT / 2 a.m. PDT. She released a brief teaser on social media to celebrate the announcement. At this time, No other details about the song have been made public at this time.
Somi first stepped into the music world with her 2021 album release XOXO. This was followed by her first EP, Game Plan, in 2023. In addition, she has released three non-album singles, including “Flower, Wind and You” in 2016, “You, Who?” in 2017, and most recently, “Ice Cream” in 2024.
Somi has 12 total lyricist and nine total music producer credits. She has eight total music award wins. These include Best Overseas Female Artist at the Asian Music Awards in 2021, Best Performance at the 2022 Golden Disc Awards, among others. In short, Somi has great musical talent.
