After just celebrating its 20th anniversary, The Comeback will do just that. HBO announces the series will come back for what they say is the third and final season. After one previous renewal, they are doing it a second time, though this one appears to be the final. All in all, Lisa Kudrow will return as Valerie Cherish one more time, with the faith of HBO and others at her side. Hopefully, the story will bring everything to a thoughtful and satasifying conclusion.
The Comeback Is Back… Again

The Comeback will return in 2026. HBO announces the comedy series will come back for a third and “final season.” Lisa Kudrow will return as Valerie Cherish, who Variety describes as an “mid-range sitcom actor whose return to a (bad) network comedy called “Room and Board” was being chronicled by a reality show called “The Comeback.”” In addition, Dan Bucatinsky, Laura Silverman, and Damian Young will return to star, and Michael Patrick King will return, being one of the co-creators of the series, alongside Kudrow.
In short, despite it being over a decade since the second season, the creators must have pitched something great for HBO, as they agreed to give the show a third season. It will be interesting to see where the show goes from here. As a matter of fact, however, time will reveal all that there is to know about the upcoming revival.
Will This Renewal Be Worth It?

In conclusion, The Comeback will return in 2026. Whether the third season is necessary is another story, but fans of the show will flock to their screens of choice next year when the third season debuts. All in all, in today’s day and age, everyone needs a good laugh. As for if The Comeback is that answer, that ultimately remains to be seen.
