The Cat in the Hat is coming to the big screen in 2026 with a new animated film. With that, Warner Brothers has released the first trailer for the film. It is promising an imaginative and unique ride through an expansive world, with Bill Hader front and center as the title character. All in all, this looks to be a special film, centered around a character beloved by kids and adults alike all over the world.
Imagination Is King

Warner Brothers has released the first official trailer for The Cat in the Hat, in theaters February 27, 2026. The film stars Bill Hader (Inside Out franchise), Matt Berry (The Wild Robot), Quinta Brunson (Abbott Elementary), Bowen Yang (Saturday Night Live), America Ferrera (Barbie), Xochitl Gomez (Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness), Tiago Martinez (Dora and the Search for Sol Dorado), Paula Pell (Inside Out franchise), Tituss Burgess (Snow White [2025]), and Giancarlo Esposito (Captain America Brave New World).
In terms of the trailer itself, there is not a ton offered in terms of plot. However, it makes up for that in showcasing imagination coming to life, as often happens in anything relating to Dr. Seuss. In addition, it looks like the film will have many moments that fans of the books will greatly enjoy. All in all, the film looks incredible, and is promising a fun ride for all who will watch. For example, the end scene of the trailer with all the Things alone is making the film worthwhile. Dr. Seuss was a creative man when it came to his books. That same creative energy appears to be present in the new film. This will come as a relief to many, as they hope that this film will capture that same magic, while being an inspiration to the next generation of kids all over the world.
Trailer for The Cat in the Hat is Going Big

In conclusion, the first trailer for The Cat In the Hat is promising an imaginative ride. In addition, the film looks to be taking place in a world that will fill itself with wonders. Those wonders appear to be pulled straight from the books by Dr. Seuss. The world is looking to be as big as it ever has. That world will be explored by The Cat in the Hat himself, looking to inspire the next generation of kids for a long time to come.
