The F1 film is becoming a bigger success than Apple once thought possible. The racing film is now the highest-grossing film in Apple’s filmography. This is proving that big-budget racing films will work. It also proves that, with the right script and talent, any film will work if filmgoers give it a chance.
F1 Film Overtakes Napoleon For P1

Starring Brad Pitt (Once Upon A Time In Hollywood) and directed by Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun Maverick), the F1 film has taken pole position in Apple’s filmography. With, at the time of writing, a $293.6 million showing at the worldwide box office, the film easily passes Napoleon ($221.3 million), making it Apple’s highest-grossing film of all-time.
In addition, this is the first true box office hit for Apple itself, and rightfully so. The film currently holds an 83% critic and 97% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Everyone is loving it, which is ever the more reason why the film is making as much as it is.
All in all, this is great news for Apple and film distributor Warner Brothers. There is a hit on their hands with F1, and they will take advantage of it until the film is on its last legs theatrically.
