It has been an exciting year for concert tours with one particular revelation getting concert goers piqued. As she continues to ride the wave of her ‘Wicked’ glory, Ariana Grande reminds us that she has so much in store for us. The singer-songwriter announced her Eternal Sunshine tour this Thursday, a 27-show tour stretching from Atlanta to Montreal. The tour will begin next summer in Oakland, California and end in London, culminating in a two month showing.
According to Variety, there’s a very strong possibility of Grande adding more dates. This is her first tour in seven years since the Sweetener World Tour which amassed $146.6 million from 97 shows, with rave reviews. During Sweetener, she frequently added more concerts due to high demand in cities like Chicago, Miami, and others. With this being her first tour in a long time, the anticipation is astronomical. It wouldn’t be surprising if she continued the tour throughout next fall and into 2027.
What Is To Come At The ‘Eternal Sunshine’ Tour?
Then again, with her continuing work on ‘Wicked’, its crucial for Grande not to feel burnout. Though Sweetener was phenomenal, it came at a cost. In an interview with the Zach Sang Show last year, she seemed uncertain about touring, noting its cost to her emotional state.
“I would love to do shows. I miss being on stage, I miss my fans so much. I had a really hard time emotionally on my last tour but I think that’s because of where I was at. So just like with music I’m excited to redefine my relationship with shows when I’m ready and to see what that looks like.”
With the announcement of the ‘Eternal Sunshine’ tour, it’ll be interesting to see who joins her on the circuit. For Sweetener, Normani and Social house were opening acts for the North American leg and Ella Mai opened for the European one. During her Dangerous Woman tour in 2017, she brought along Little Mix, Bia, Sabrina Carpenter, and Victoria Monet.
