Following its theater exclusive release in front of opening weekend screenings of The Fantastic Four First Steps, the first trailer for Avatar Fire and Ash has made its way online. Directed by James Cameron, the third film in the Avatar series is promising a visually-stunning and emotional adventure. All in all, with the first two films being the highest and third-highest grossing films of all-time, there are high expectations for the third film. However, with Cameron in the director’s chair, fans will enter into Pandora once more, to see what happens next for this set of characters.
Avatar Fire and Ash‘s First Trailer Is Here

Following debuting in front of screenings for The Fantastic Four First Steps, the first trailer for Avatar Fire and Ash has now released online worldwide. At the time of writing, it has amassed just over 2.92 million views on the official Avatar YouTube channel.
In terms of the trailer itself, the stunning visuals and soundtrack help to drive everything forward. In terms of plot, there is not a ton to go on, other than the introduction of the Ash people. Varang (Oona Chaplin) is the leader of the Ash people, who is featured in the trailer itself.
In short, the first trailer is marked by the visuals and soundtrack, which is promising a darker and more emotional journey than what’s been seen in this franchise before. However, the shrouds of mystery still in the minds of fans will only disappear when Avatar Fire and Ash debuts in theaters this December.
Another All-Time Hit?

There is one burning question on the minds of fans all around the world: Will Avatar Fire and Ash have the box office legs of it’s two predecessors?
As mentioned earlier, the first two Avatar films are among the top three highest grossing films of all-time. Director James Cameron has three out of the top five (the third being Titanic).
In short, it is absolutely a possibility that the third film can reach $2 billion or more. However, fans today want not just a visually-stunning film. They also want a film with a great plot, that makes them care about the characters. For many the first two films executed both perfectly, so those fans will be paying attention to see if both end in perfection once more, when Avatar Fire and Ash releases December 18, exclusively in theaters.
