Just over five years ago, on August 28, 2020, Chadwick Boseman passed away at the age of 43. His death was due to colon cancer complications. Since then, tributes that have come in from around the world. Each one honored the dignity and respect that Boseman carried have been emotionally-filled. With that, a very special one happened on November 20, 2025. On this date, Boseman was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. His very star will forever have a place next to the very theatre where the first “Black Panther” film all the way back in 2018.
A Star Fit For The King, Chadwick Boseman

Ever since the August 28, 2020, death of the late Chadwick Boseman, his story and legacy have never been forgotten. Despite that, “Black Panther” director Ryan Coogler nearly quit filmmaking shortly after his death. However, after “he spent the following weeks revisiting footage of himself with Boseman,” he chose to return and make what became “Black Panther Wakanda Forever.”
Now, fast forward over five years later, where Boseman has received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. As a matter of fact, Coogler, Viola Davis, and Boseman’s widow Simone Ledward-Boseman all gave speeches during the ceremony. Leward-Boseman said that Chadwick “was a spiritual teacher, fortified by a family and close friends that kept him grounded in faith.” Part of Coogler’s remarks included him saying: “You realize how much you don’t measure up, but you also realize how much the human body is capable of. Chad showed that every day.” Finally, Davis, in one of the most touching parts of the day, said: “I have to believe that Chadwick is still alive. I can’t use the word ‘gone’ or ‘death’ really when thinking about him.”
The King Is Immortal

As a matter of fact, Chadwick’s Boseman legacy will live on forever through his place on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In addition, he will continue to have a place in the hearts of friends, family, and fans around the world. The goodwill and respect he tought to the masses will never be forgotten. With that, another part of Boseman’s lasting legacy now lives on in Hollywood, California forever.
