Christopher Nolan is one of the greatest directors in the history of films. As a result, many are excited to find out he is now the Director Guild of America’s President. Having been a Guild member since 2011, Nolan brings experience, passion, and dedication to the table. As a result, fans will be pleased one of the most renowed and respected directors is now head of the biggest Guild for directors in all of the United States.
Christopher Nolan Is In The Top Spot
In short, many believe that Christopher Nolan is one of the greatest film directors to ever live. As such, it is no surprise that he is now the Directors Guild of America’s newest President. In a statement following his election, Nolan said:
To be elected President of the Directors Guild of America is one of the greatest honors of my career. Our industry is experiencing tremendous change, and I thank the Guild’s membership for entrusting me with this responsibility.
Nolan has been a member of the Directors Guild of America since 2011. In addition, he is currently the chair of the Theatrical Creative Rights and Artificial Intelligence Committees for the DGA. On top of all this, he has served on the DGA’s National Board and Western Directors Council since 2015. In short, Christopher Nolan takes his experience with the Guild, as well as his experince directing some of the greatest films of all-time in the eyes of fans (The Dark Knight, Inception, and Oppenheimer, just to name a few) into his new role as DGA President, which will be something truly special for all to see.
