After no new releases in 2024, 2025 is becoming Dove Cameron’s year. In anticipation of her debut album, she is releasing another single, “Romeo.” Whether it will become a song off her upcoming album remains to be seen. However, fans will nonetheless flock to their listening device of choice on release day, to hear what Cameron has up her sleeve next.
“Romeo” Out June 27
A June 23 Instagram post reveals a snippet of “Romeo,” with a caption: “ROMEO. JUNE 27 🩸. pre save in bio.” A follow-up June 24 Instagram post with a similar caption reveals the cover art for the song.
There are no other details at the time of writing. However, fans will be able to quickly guess the style of song Cameron will use for “Romeo,” based on past releases. She identifies as queer and bisexual. As a result, she will always infuse that in her music. After all, according to Cameron, “every song of mine is a queer song because I’m a queer artist.” Fans have given the queer-coded song label to several of Cameron’s songs, such as “Boyfriend,” “Breakfast,” and “French Girls.” Although it is likely that the same will happen with “Romeo,” fans will not know for sure until June 27, when the song releases. Until then, they will speculate, as they will often do.
Cameron Is Back On The Grind

In conclusion, Dove Cameron is a LGBTQIA+ artist who’s reasonated with fans all over the world. In addition, her queer-coded music is becoming increasingly popular by the day. All in all, “Romeo” will prove to be another chapter of greatness in the legacy she is building. As for where that legacy will ultimately go, and where her story ends up, only time will tell for sure.
