Formula One will be celebrating 75 years of existence throughout 2025. As part of the celebration, the Canadian Grand Prix reveals it will continue its agreement with F1. All in all, this will prove that Formula One understands its history. It also proves it will also continue to be a voice in the motorsports world for a long time coming. In short, a historic venue will continue its participation in a motorsport that has some of the greatest drivers in the world.
Canadaian Grand Prix Will Stay In F1

Formula One announces that the Canadian Grand Prix will continue to be a part of the sport through at least 2035. In speaking to the press, F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali said the following: “Montréal is an incredible city, full of energy and passionate fans, and I am delighted to confirm that we will continue racing here through to the 2035 season and that our media rights deal with Bell Media is also extending in the long term.”
Beginning in 1961, it is currently the longest-running Formula One race held outside of Europe. The race has run at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve since 1978. In addition, it is a race that will move to Memorial Day weekend beginning in 2026. This would directly conflict with the Indianpolis 500, with both running at the same time. However, this is a move that will only happen “once every five years, with Montreal expected to run the weekend before Indy in 2027.”
In short, the Canadian Grand Prix will continue to be an exceptional partner of Formula One. It will continue to support F1 for a long time to come, which is great to see.
An F1 Staple Will Remain

In conclusion, seeing a long-running partner continue in Formula One is excellent news. It shows that it has a great amount of pull and respect in the motorsports world. It will continue to be one of the leaders, as it pulls together the greatest talent in the world for an exciting 24-race calendar each and every year.
