The Freakier Friday world premiere has come and gone. With it, the first reactions to the sequel of the Disney Channel Original Movie are out in full force. All in all, a film that may have come out of nowhere for some, but is coming with some excellent reactions, which may suggest the film will have some legs box office-wise at the end of the day.
Freakier Friday First Reactions
The world premiere for Freakier Friday has happened. With it, many members of the press had the chance to watch the film for the first time, and offer their first reactions. The results are interesting, to say the least.
For starters, TV host Jeff Conway stated that the film was “double the fun with twice the heart as the original film.” In addition, he went on to say:
These 22 years later, Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis haven’t missed a beat! Their on-screen chemistry is truly something special. A true delight that the entire family will enjoy.
On top of Conway’s comments, senior artisans editor Jazz Tangcay for Variety wrote:
“Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis deliver hilarity and emotion in this funtastic sequel. I never knew I needed this film! Oh and Manny Jacinto, I love him.”
In short, these are just some of the first reactions for Freakier Friday. The film debuts in theaters August 8. Soon enough, more press members and fans will get to see the film. This will provide further insight into the true legs the film will have. However, if the first reactions indicate anything, the future is looking freakier, but also extremely bright.
