Adam Sandler has been teaming up with Netflix to make some of the top comedy movies in recent years. Murder Mystery, Hustle, You are so not invited to my Bat Mitzfah, The Do-over, The WEEK OF. Now, fans are getting a blast from the past with the release of “Happy Gilmore 2” the follow-up to Sandler’s breakout 1996 film.

We all saw the start of Sandler’s character Happy’s golf career, and rooted for his antics to raise money for his grandmother. Now almost thirty years later, he’s returning to the course after retiring, to pay for his daughter’s ballet school. The full-length trailer released by Netflix shows an action packed, hilarious addition to Happy’s story. With hints of guest appearances from Bad Bunny, Travis Kelce, Post Malone, and the usual Sandler flick laugh-out-loud banter, this sequel will likely be a hole in one. Happy Gilmore 2 doesn’t have any published reviews yet, but the first film has a 63% from critics on rotten tomatoes, and 85% from audiences.

Happy Gilmore 2 Premiere at the Lincoln Center in New York City this past Monday. Sandler, a longtime fan of many sports, invited his friends from golf and beyond. Sandler had promised his friend Derrick Henry, Baltimore Ravens running back, that he’d get a role in one of his films if he surpasses 2,000 running yards in the 2025 season. At the premiere, they celebrated golf, and hinted at more Sandler sports flicks. “We’re doing a movie together.” Sandler tells Henry “Me and you, bro.”.
