HBO Max has released the second teaser trailer for IT: Welcome to Derry. A prequel to the IT films, the nine-episode series will show Pennywise’s rise to the terrifying monster he is in the films. With the terrifying and eerie nature and tone of the newest trailer, fans will sleep with one eye open, as the series takes the story terrifying back to where it all began.
IT: Welcome to Derry Is A Terrifying Return To Form
Over the weekend at San Diego Comic-Con, the creators behind IT: Welcome to Derry showcased the second teaser trailer for the upcoming prequel series. Releasing in October 2025, the nine-episode series is proving to be as terrifying as the IT franchise has ever been. With the eerie music, violence seemingly around every corner, and more, the series on the surface appears to be another home run for HBO.
In addition, there is the terrifying 10 minute opening sequence that was shown at the San Diego Comic-Con panel. Without a doubt, this footage description alone will make blood curl and goosebumps go rampant. It will terrify all who end up watching the series, when it debuts October 2025, exclusively on HBO Max.
The Terrifying Return To Derry
Until now, the origin story of Pennywise the Clown in the IT universe has not been explored. Then again, the story is turning out to be exceptionally terrifying. All in all, fans will tune in, though they might be in for more than what they wish for.
