James Cameron is at it again.
Following the release of the first trailer online for the third Avatar movie, Fire and Ash, he is teasing even more Avatar beyond the films. More specifically, he is teasing that an animated anthology series based in the world of Pandora may be on the way. All in all, Cameron is proving he loves the world of Avatar, and that he will continue to make stories within that world for a long time to come.
Animated Avatar Anthology Series On The Way?

In an interview with Empire Magazine, James Cameron said the following:
I said, ‘Look, I want to do an animated anthology series that’s essentially in the world, but stories that you wouldn’t have expected from that world.’
James Cameron is a visionary storyteller. The first two Avatar films, Avatar and Avatar The Way of Water, is proof of this, with stories many fans enjoy, and with the box office statistics to back up that enjoyment. Though Cameron didn’t offer much in terms of details of this possible series, he does seem excited about the prospect of making it.
An animated anthology series set in Pandora opens the storytelling floodgates. With Cameron, one of the highest-grossing directors of our time, at the helm, the sky is the limit. In short, if this series does happen, it will truly be a spectacular ride.
A Unique Return To Pandora?

In conlusion, James Cameron is an excellent and visionary filmmaker, that has made some of the most visually-stunning films of all-time. All in all, a hypothetical animated Avatar anthology series would go a long way in expanding the world of Pandora itself. However, only James Cameron knows the answer in terms of whether or not this will ultimately get made or not.
