K-Pop Demon Hunters is becoming a mega hit for Netflix. From being on track to becoming the most-watched animated film of all-time for the streamer, to then actually breaking the record. Netflix feels they have a major hit on their hands, which is leading them to making several decisions to make it a full-fledged franchise at the streamer. All in all, this is excellent news for Netflix since they can maximize profits, but also for the fans, who fell in love with Netflix’s smash hit of the summer, that is about to become something more.
K-Pop Demon Hunters Is To Neflix What Frozen Is To Disney

K-Pop Demon Hunters has become a massive hit for Netflix. The 99-minute musical film, at the time of writing, has broken the record for most-watched animated film in Netflix history. As a result, Netflix is looking to capitalize on the mega hit they have on their hands. As of now, there are plans being discussed at Netflix “for a live-action remake, stage musical, sequels, and more.” To add to this, in regards to sequel films, there is discussions to have at least two, to complete a full trilogy.
In short, this is all-around good news for Netflix, who internally are referring to K-Pop Demon Hunters as “its very own Frozen or Disney Princess-level franchise.” In addition, this is excellent news for fans of the original film, who will be getting excited seeing that the universe is going to get a lot bigger. All in all, it is a win-win for everyone, which will only become bigger in the months and years ahead.

In short, Netflix has a massive hit on their hands with K-Pop Demon Hunters. Everyone is loving the musical film, especially within the ranks of Netflix. This is prompting discussions of building the film out into a fully-fleshed out universe, filled with all sorts of stories. All in all, Netflix has greatness waiting in the wings to grow into something more, and it will be fascinating to see where they choose to take this monumental hit from this moment forward.
