The future of the MCU is coming into picture, as well as past success and failures. Kevin Feige sat down with members of the media, to bring more insight into what the future holds for the highest-grossing film franchise of all-time. All in all, the interviews conducted were some of the most insightful and informative that Feige has ever given, providing information into the past, present, and future of the MCU.
Kevin Feige Talks Post-Endgame

We produced 50 hours of stories between 2007 and 2019, but in the six years since Avengers Endgame concluded the Infinity Saga, “we’ve had well over 100 hours of stories — in half the time. That’s too much.
This is Kevin Feige talking about the Multiverse Saga up until the present day. In addition, he went on to say that, for the first time in the history of the MCU, “quantity trumped quality.” This was unacceptable to Feige. As such, in recent months, Marvel Studios has pivoted and has gone back to its traditional quality over quanity ways.
In short, this should help make each project in the MCU better. With The Fantastic Four First Steps on the horizon, with some calling it one of the best MCU films of all-time, this return to form appears to be working for the franchise as a whole.
The Future of The MCU

Kevin Feige had a lot to say about the future of the MCU.
For starters, the output of Marvel Television live-action series will significantly decrease. This is to allow “a TV show to be a TV show.” In addition, in what is one of the biggest pieces of news to stem from Feige’s interview, is that there is a reset coming for the MCU following 2027’s Avengers Secret Wars. The upcoming X-Men film, now confirmed to be directed by Jake Schreier, will have all-new actors playing the iconic characters. In addition, iconic MCU charcters such as Tony Stark and Steve Rogers will also get recasted post-Secret Wars. Feige acknowledged the incredible work of Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans, but also said that recasting iconic roles has happened in franchises for a long time, specifically pointing to James Bond and Superman as examples.
In short, the info didn’t stop there. Feige went on to tease a possible Young Avengers project. While praising Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel as “one of the greatest bits of casting we’ve ever done,” he said the following:
Potentially. In that case, it comes down to where’s the best story and where is the best strange alchemy. Who would be fun to see them with? Each other, because that’s what the Young Avengers are, but also mixing it up more.
In addition, Feige had a similar tease-based answer when it came to the question of Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman returning as Deadpool and Wolverine, respectively.
All in all, there is a plan up until 2032 for the MCU. It will be interesting to see where everything ends up going, from this point forward.
The MCU Moving Forward Is Looking Bright

In conclusion, Kevin Feige, as the mastermind behind the MCU and Marvel Studios as a whole, is moving towards the future. He is forgetting the faults of the past, and recognizes the mistakes made then, so that a new future can be forged. All in all, he has a plan for the future, and he is going to see it through to the end, no matter what.
