Lana Del Rey releases new cinematic single about her husband, “White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter” which was briefly introduced through her Instagram Story on February 7, 2026. Just after 10 days on February 17, fans got to listen to her latest release. In it, discusses her relationship and married life with her husband Jeremy Dufrene. Many of her music she released in the past mainly points to heartbreak, but her newest single portrays a romantic tribute to her husband. Her new single is described as poetic, cinematic, melancholic, dark with a heavy expression of love towards listeners.

She provided a countrylike setting with love-drunk elements toward her lyricism such as “he’s my white feather hawk tail deer hunter, likes to keep me cool in the hot breeze summer, likes to push me on this green John Deere mower, I know you wish you had a man like him, it’s such a bummer” which dedicates not only to the hunting lifestyle of her husband, but their romantic life. Her lyrics carries a dreamy scape, a melancholic tone, blending romantic devotion while being aware that the man she sings about is untamable, tied more to open skies and rural landscapes than to stability or domestic life.
Aside from Dufrene’s hunting personality, he also cowritten this latest single including Del Rey’s sister, Chuck Grant and her brother-in-law Jason Pickens. Additionally, Del Rey included a backing track that may become familiar to some listeners. She makes use of a sample of Ella Fitzgerald’s “Laura” which was originally composed by David Raskin and songwriter Johnny Mercer.
On February 18, 2026, Lana Del Rey released the music video for her newest single and portrays surrealism, intimate with some unsettling elements, including the video to be in a dark tone which does correlate to the song’s American folk atmosphere. Lana’s collaborators such as her family and friends made the video possible as they worked on editing and uploading it. Her husband also appears in the video just about a few glances.
