Michael B. Jordan’s praise for “Sinners” is not done just yet. The Palm Springs International Film Awards will give him their Icon Award, in a January 2026 presentation. With that, and with Jordan having new projects on deck, he is looking for a curtain call for a film that is “the highest-grossing original film in the last 15 years.”
Michael B. Jordan Honored Like An Icon

When the Palm Springs International Film Awards happen in early to mid-January, a familiar face will earn one of the festival’s top honors. Michael B. Jordan will take the stage to receive the Icon Award, for his work in the 2025 horror film “Sinners.” As a matter of fact, Festival Chairman Nachhattar Singh Chandi said that Jordan’s “ability to inhabit two distinct souls with such power and nuance is nothing short of extraordinary.” Jordan stars in the film, directed by Ryan Coogler (who also wrote and produced the film), alongisde Hailee Steinfeld, Miles Caton, Wumni Mosaku, Jack O’Connell, Jayme Lawson, Omar Miller, and Delroy Lindo. Coogler’s wife Zinzi, alongside Sev Ohanian, are also producers for the film.
The 2026 Palm Springs International Film Awards is set to take place January 2-12. The ceremony in which Michael B. Jordan will receive the festival’s Icon Award will occur January 3.
The Icon Award Brings Forth Comfort

To conclude, following “Sinners” and its historic run at the box office, the film’s main star, Michael B. Jordan, is getting a major honor.
