Oasis is back! The Oasis Live ’25 reunion tour started this summer after a 15-year hiatus. The English rock band, led by brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, is reuniting for a nine-show run in North America starting late August.
“The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised,” Oasis announced on X.
The Oasis Live ’25 tour started this July in the UK and Ireland with stadium shows in Cardiff, Manchester, and London. The brothers will also play in North America with stadium shows in Toronto, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, and Mexico City, starting Aug. 24.
It’s been 16 years since the last Oasis performance in North America. The last time Oasis performed in the U.S. was on Dec.12, 2008, for their “Dig Out Your Soul” tour (NBC Chicago, 2024). The brothers believed America didn’t fully embrace them despite their success and popularity in the U.S. “America. Oasis is coming. You have one last chance to prove that you loved us all along,” Oasis announced on X last September.
Liam and Noel Gallagher

Oasis formed in Manchester in 1991. They were discovered from a single gig at Glasgow, Scotland by Creation Records. Their 1994 debut album, “Definitely Maybe,” created a resurgence of guitar-based rock, known as “Britpop.” Their second album “(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?,” led to an extensive tour across Europe and North America with global hits such as “Wonderwall” and “Don’t Look Back in Anger.”
Creative engines and their relationship created tension between the brothers. After Liam and Noel got into a fight backstage before headlining a music festival in Paris in 2009, Liam and Noel parted ways. “It’s with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight,” Noel announced on the band’s website.
The brothers continued to tour and release albums separately. They exchanged insults towards each other on social media and in interviews. Through the doubts of their reconciliation, the band reformed in 2024. “This is it, this is happening,” Oasis announced on X for their reunion.
