One of the most successful video game franchises of all-time is at last heading to the big screen. Paramount Pictures and Activision have reached a deal, which will bring a live-action Call of Duty film to light. With Chairman & CEO David Ellison’s affection for the series well-documented, this appears to be a recipe for success. All in all, the wheels are turning at Paramount Pictures and Activision to bring Call of Duty to the big screen, which will excite fans all over the world.
Call of Duty Is Going Big

Paramount Pictures and Activision will work together to create a live-action Call of Duty film. This is Activision’s second attempt at such a project. In 2018, Sicario 2: Soldado director Stefano Sollima was attached, but the project never went anywhere. However, it now gets a second chance of life. At the time of writing, it is unknown who will write or direct the film. That said, with Chairman & CEO David Ellison being a massive fan of Call of Duty, this is a match made in heaven.
The franchise is not high on the lists of some for franchises to get big screen adaptations. However, with the newly merged Paramount Pictures with new parent company Skydance, the possibilities are, ultimately, endless for this project.
Guns Blazin’ On The Big Screen

Call of Duty is one of the most popular and profitable multiplayer video game franchises of all-time. Though it has taken a while for a big screen adaptation to have proper funding behind it, Paramount Pictures has provided that at last. This is excellent news for many. All in all, fans will await when comes of the project, including who will direct the next big video game adaptation to hit the big screen.
