Role Model opens for Gracie Abrams at Madison Square Garden this week on her “Secret of Us Deluxe Tour.” The singer will only join Abrams as an opener in New York City and Mexico City for 2 nights.
Tucker Pillsbury, known as Role Model and for his album, Kansas Anymore, opened for Abrams’ Secret of Us tour for a portion of her “The Secret of Us” tour. He opened for Abrams from Sept. 5 to Oct. 9, 2024. “Now having toured with [Abrams], I don’t think I wanna do it with anyone else,” Role Model on touring with Abrams.
Due to filming commitments, Role Model’s opening appearances are limited to New York and Mexico City. Pillsbury will make his acting debut in Lena Dunham’s Upcoming Netflix rom-com, Good Sex, alongside Natalie Portman and Mark Ruffalo.
Last month, Role Model announced he’d drop out of most Gracie Abrams and a festival appearance to focus on filming. “I’m so excited to be joining Lena and the Good Sex cast, but as the filming schedule was finalized over the past month, there were some unavoidable conflicts that unfortunately could not be worked around no matter how hard we tried,” Role Model wrote on Instagram.
The singer opened for Abrams’ sold-out show last night, featuring Natalie Portman, his co-star, as “Sally” and a surprise duet with Abrams. Portman took the stage to dance with Role Model to his breakout single, “Sally, When the Wine Runs Out.” “Get these two in a rom com @Netflix,” Role Model captioned the video.
Abrams surprised the crowd with a duet with Role Model of her hit “Mess It Up” on night one of her sold-out run at Madison Square Garden. Role Model and Gracie Abrams last performed “Feels Like” by Abrams at her “Secret of Us Tour” in Oct. 2024. “Mess It Up live from Madison Square Garden !!!!!! Welcome back, @rolemodel,” Abrams captioned the duet.

Role Model will also open for the “Secret of Us Deluxe Tour” today. His last two shows as an opener are in Mexico City this August.
