A staple in unscripted live television will return to his post. ABC has confirmed that Ryan Seacrest will return in his role as host of American Idol for its 24th season. In short, this is excellent news for ABC, and exceptional news for the fans, who have been watching Seacrest on the show since the very beginning.
Ryan Seacrest Will Return
With Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie returning as the judge trio, it is only fitting the host who’s been with the series since the beginning would return as well.
Ryan Seacrest, who has hosted every season of American Idol, will return to host Season 24. While there is some specifics with the contract that still need to be worked out, including working around Seacrest’s other commitments, everything is in place for him to return.
Seacrest returning provides credibility. One of the most popular unscripted television series hosts coming back to one of the most popular unscripted television series of all-time is excellent news for everyone, as the audition process will begin for the newest season very soon.
