The first batch of performers for the 2025 VMAs, on CBS September 7. Among others, one of the highlights on the list is superstar Sabrina Carpenter. Carpenter is nominated for eight VMAs, including the top Video of the Year for “Manchild” from her upcoming album Man’s Best Friend. All in all, the VMAs are right around the corner, with something truly special in the making.
First VMAs Performers Revealed

Sabrina Carpenter is set to hit the stage once more, as she will perform at the 2025 VMAs, being held September 7 and being broadcasted on CBS. In addition, Sombr, Alex Warren and J Balvin featuring DJ Snake will also perform at the awards ceremony.
Carpenter is up for eight VMAs this year, including:
- Video of the Year (For “Manchild”)
- Best Album (For Short ‘n Sweet)
- Best Pop Artist
- Best Pop Song (For “Manchild”)
- Best Direction (For “Manchild”)
- Best Cinematography (For “Manchild”)
- Best Editing (For “Manchild”)
- Best Visual Effects (For “Manchild”)
Fans will recall the “Please Please Please / Taste / Espresso” mashup Carpenter performed at the 2024 edition of the VMAs, so it will be interesting to see what she comes up with for this years edition.
Sabrina Carpenter Is Back On Stage

Following a performance at Lollapalooza 2025 in Chicago, Sabrina Carpenter will return to the stage September 7, at the 2025 VMAs on CBS. For fans, she is always one of the highlights when she performs live. All in all, with her album Man’s Best Friend debuting August 29, it is likely songs from that album will feature in her performance, though that remains to be seen. At the end of the day, Carpenter is looking to make a splash, with lead single “Manchild” leading her VMAs charge.
