The gift that keeps on giving.
Sabrina Carpenter continues to ride on the success of her newest hit single “Manchild.” As the song makes its trip around the music scene, it is breaking records and is soaring its way straight to the top of music charts. This helps to show the power she has. This latest achievements proves she’s one of the more prominent female artists the music industry has to offer.
Spotify & iTunes Say Yes To “Manchild”
“Manchild” is proving that Sabrina Carpenter is here to stay. For example, Spotify reported on June 6 that the song debuted at #1 on their global charts with an astonishing 8.05 million streams across the globe. This is the biggest debut by a female artist of the year. Previously, the number one spot was Chappell Roan’s “The Giver,” at 6.26 million streams.
In addition, with the song’s price at sixty-nine cents on digital platforms, it’s propelling “Manchild” to number one on the iTunes charts. This is the first time a song of Carpenter’s has ever debuted at number one.
All in all, this momentum leads fans to speculate if “Manchild” will have the legs to make it onto the Billboard Hot 100, and even take the number one spot there. To explain, the current Hot 100 number one spot is Alex Warren’s “Ordinary.” This song is the “sleeper hit of the season,” in the eyes of many. In short, if “Manchild” keeps up this momentum, it will continue to break all sorts of records. That said, time will tell if this will actually be the case or not.
What This Says About Carpenter

The success Carpenter has had with “Manchild,” and her music in general, shows the pull she has in the industry.
Though not quite the following of a Taylor Swift or Billie Eilish, she has loyal fans all over the world. Her Short ‘n Sweet Tour has been extremely popular. Many songs from her Short ‘n Sweet album, including “Espresso” and “Busy Woman,” are still considered in high regard.
In conclusion, “Manchild” shows that Sabrina Carpenter has an immense presence and a loyal following. Time will tell as to what that presence and following will ultimately do for the industry going forward, as it enters into a new era.
