Canadian singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes has announced his “On the Road Again” tour, celebrating the tenth anniversary of his debut album with a summertime concert series. The new tour consists of twenty shows spread out across the globe. In addition to European appearances, some of the concerts are in the states in cities such as Boston, Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles. This dynamic move follows a more intimate, sleeper tour to support his recent project titled “Shawn Mendes: For Friends and Family Only (A Live Concert Film). With “On The Road Again” as well as his recent stateside tour, we get to see Mendes eagerly stepping into a new stage of his career. As he uncovers his personal setbacks, he begins to come out on the other side of the tunnel.

On the Road Again Tour 2025
On Thursday, Shawn Mendes announced his “On the Road Again” tour on Instagram, kicking off at the beginning of August. This new tour will be a pivotal moment for Mendes. After the cancellation of his Wonder tour in 2022 for mental health reasons, he has been devoted to grounding himself. During his year-long sabbatical, he exuded vulnerability in his lyrics and sound. His recent album “Shawn” shifted from his usual pop sound into one that featured folk nuances and sincere introspection. As Mendes continues to make the transition from Billboard Hot 100 boy wonder into an adult artist, “On The Road Again” will grant Mendes the room to display that growth to the world. Joining Mendes on this worldwide tour will be acts Maro, Lubiana, and Eddie Benjamin.
It is amazing to witness Mendes as he enters into an exciting era of his career. With his longevity in a rapidly changing industry, Mendes definitely has something to look forward to with this tour.
