Stranger Things is currently one of the most popular shows of all-time for Netflix. As such, it makes sense that the fifth and final season will get a heavy marketing campaigning. With that, a new teaser was released during the 2025 Primetime Emmys, which seems to reveal a new rating. Regardless, fans are excited to see what’s to come, as the final season is almost available for the world to see.
Stranger Things Season Five New Teaser Shown At The Primetime Emmys
During the 2025 Primetime Emmys, a new teaser for the final season of Stranger Things was released. It is mostly recut footage from the previously released trailer. However, the thing catching the attention of fans is the fact the new teaser opens with a TV-MA rating in the top left corner, as seen below:

All four previous seasons of Stranger Things are rated TV-14. With that, seeing the TV-MA rating with the new Season Five teaser is surprising to fans. However, it is unknown if it will be rated TV-MA or not for sure. That said, the TV-MA icon being included in the teaser seems to suggest this will be the case. Ultimately, until Netflix confirms it, it will not be known for sure.
The Upside Down Returns November 26

Stranger Things returns for a fifth and final season. The season premieres with Volume One on November 26, followed by Volume Two on December 25, and The Finale on December 31. With speculation reignited that this final season will be rated TV-MA, fans are most excited than ever to see what the Upside Down will bring in what is shaping up to be an exciting final season.
