Marvel Studios’ future is coming into focus.
Recently, updates have come out regarding where priorities currently are at the studio. From the X-Men reboot to Black Panther III, the studio is setting itself up for the future post-Secret Wars. With that, they seem to be ready to roll for the future, and beyond.
The Future of Marvel Studios

Many updates were released in Variety regearding where priorities currently are at within Marvel Studios. One of the more fascinating updates was regarding the upcoming X-Men film. Studio president Kevin Feige had previously mentioned the desire to cast all-new actors for the new X-Men team, and that appears to be reaffirmed here. On this subject, Variety is quoted as saying: “casting will begin soon, and the field is wide open. But Marvel has indicated to reps that it is looking for younger talent, rather than A-listers, to “keep the cost down,” says another agent.”
In addition, another big upcoming film for is Black Panther III, with Variety quoting their sources by saying “ideas are percolating on a Ryan Coogler-helmed “Black Panther 3,” creating excitement internally.” However, Blade and a possible fourth Deadpool film, according to Variety’s sources, are in no rush to be made. This is after the less than stellar box office performances of some of their recent films. These include 2023’s The Marvels and 2025’s Thunderbolts*.
In short, with Marvel as a whole being a “critical piece to Disney’s overall premium IP,” they will look to set themselves up for the future, and beyond.
Marvel Is Here To Stay

In conclusion, Marvel Studios has been through many ups and downs in recent years. Their box office profits, as a whole, have been down. However, with The Fantastic Four First Steps now out to raving reviews, and with the setup for Avengers Doomsday coming together, the future is brighter than it has looked in recent years.
