A new musical is set to make its entrance into Broadway next season. ‘The Lost Boys’ has set April 26,2026 as its opening date with a principal cast of Caissie Levy, LJ Benet, Ali Louis Bourzgui and Benjamin Pajak. Producers James Carpinello, Marcus Chait and Patrick Wilson made the announcement.
‘The Lost Boys’ is based on the 1987 cult classic of the same name starring Kiefer Sutherland, Jason Patric, Corey Feldman, Alex Winter, Dianne Wiest, and Corey Haim. The film’s plot follows two teenage brothers who along with their divorced mother move to the fictional town of Santa Clara, California- an undercover sanctuary for vampires.
The Emerson family will be played by Levy (Lucy), Bourzgui (David), and Pajak (Sam). Maria Wirries will portrary Star and Paul Alexander Nolan is Max. The additional cast features Jennifer Duka, Miguel Gil, Brian Flores, Sean Grandillo, and Sean Maupin.
Playbill released a synopsis of the play and its background. ” Featuring a book by David Hornsby and Chris Hoch, with music by the band The Rescues, The Lost Boys uses vampirism to explore the physical transformation, sexual awakening, and identity experimentation of a teenager’s coming of age. When the brotherly duo of Michael and Sam move to the fictional town of Santa Carla, California with their working mother and eccentric grandfather, they inadvertently end up in the crosshairs of a group of teenage rebel vampires and adolescent vampire hunters.
Previews begin on March 27,2026 at the Palace Theatre in New York City.
