The Summer I Turned Pretty (TSITP) series will conclude with a feature film, The Summer I Turned Pretty: The Movie. Prime Video announced the film last Wednesday, which also wrapped the third and final season of the series. The cast celebrated the series’s third and final season at a red-carpet celebration in Paris with an announcement.
“We’re proud of the series’s extraordinary success and couldn’t be more excited to partner again with Jenny Han to bring fans an unforgettable next chapter,” said Courtnay Valenti, head of film, streaming, and theatrical at Amazon MGM Studios.
The creator and showrunner, Jenny Han, will write the film alongside Sarah Kucserka. “There is a big milestone left in Belly’s journey, and I thought only a movie could give it its proper due,” Han said. “I’m so grateful to Prime Video for continuing to support my vision for this story and for making it possible to share this final chapter with the fans.”

The Summer I Turned Pretty stars Lola Tung as Isabel “Belly” Conklin, Christopher Briney as Conrad Fisher, and Gavin Casalegno as Conrad’s younger brother Jeremiah Fisher.
The film details are still under wraps, but the studio said it would be the final chapter of Belly’s journey. The film could give the audience, especially Bonrad fans, an extended look at Conrad and Belly’s future.
At the end of the last episode of the series, Han left a thank you message for the viewers. “We put our whole hearts into this show and we’re so thankful to you for coming along with us on the ride. Maybe we’ll meet again one summer in Cousins. Until then, all of my love always, Jenny,” she wrote. Some viewers believe Han hinted the idea of the series returning for a new season or spinoff. Han, Casalegno, Briney, and Tung sat down with TODAY to discuss the film. “Not much. We’ve known for a little bit, but it’s fun that it’s out there in the world,” Tung on what she can say about the film.
“I feel very grateful that we get to be all back together again,” Tung tells Entertainment Tonight on concluding the series with a movie. We have no clue what its going to be but I think Jenny has a first draft already,”
