On Sunday, the Vogue World: Hollywood 2025 fashion show made Los Angeles its new runway. Featuring big named designers and celebrities a like, the show was a beautiful opportunity for artistry, design, and production.
Directed by Baz Luhrmann, Vogue World was conceptualized as a fake film shoot. Actress Nicole Kidman opened the show. Other celebrities like Julia Garner, Ayo Edebiri, Tyriq Withers, Jeremy Pope, Greta Lee, and Jeff Goldblum joined. Angela Bassett also reprised her role as Queen Ramonda from the ‘Black Panther’ franchise.
Set by Anna Wintour and her Conde Nast team, this was Vogue World’s next stop after appearances in NYC, London, and Paris. In an article from The Hollywood Reporter, actress Kathryn Hahn described how awestruck she felt on Sunday evening.
“I am so overhwlemed. Going to my first fitting with the costume design team always feels like Christmas morning,” Hahn said in wonder. “It’s when the magic happens. To be here witnessing so much beauty, so much history and reverence for filmmaking, fashion, and costume design is so moving. I just feel so charged by this evening.”
Doja Cat and Gracie Abrams were the night’s performers. Doja Cat recently dropped her album ‘Vie’.
The guest included names like Demi Lovato, Taika Waititi, Miley Cyrus, Tracee Ellis Ross, and Hailey Bieber.
Ticket proceeds from Vogue World went towards the Entertainment Community Fund, which supports costume professionals impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires.
