Hit ABC show ‘Will Trent’ has dropped a teaser and premiere date for its fourth season. Based on a series of novels by Karin Slaughter, the titular character is set in Atlanta where he works for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. Trent is played by Ramon Rodriguez. Other cast members include Erika Christensen, Iantha Richardson, Jake McLaughlin, and Sonja Sohn.
Since its first season, ‘Will Trent’ has continuously increased its ratings easily becoming one of the biggest shows on the ABC network. In season one, ‘Will Trent’ garnered 3.61 million viewers and in its most reason season, reached 5.91 million viewers.
When promoting her new novel ‘We Are All Guilty Here’ on ‘Good Morning America’, Karin Slaughter gave an idea of what to expect from the new season.
“There’s so many great new ideas [in Season 4]. There were so many cliffhangers in that last episode of the season, and they’re just picking up where they left off and doing amazing things,” she stated on GMA.
According to Deadline, Kevin Daniels has been promoted to a series regular for season four. However it is uncertain if Gina Rodriguez who plays Will’s love interest will return.
The new season will jumpstart the new year on January 6th.
