Zombies 4: Dawn of The Vampires debuted on Disney Channel July 10 and Disney Plus on July 11. Fans have anticipated what the next adventures with Zed, Addison, and the whole Seabrook crew will look like. Now, that next adventure is here, with the first reviews and reactions pouring in from all over the world.
The Verdict For Zombies 4: Dawn of The Vampires

At the time of writing, Zombies 4: Dawn of The Vampires is holding a 4.3/5 stars with 84 reviews on Google Reviews, and a 2.9/5 stars on popular movie social media platform Letterboxd (2.9 stars is the highest rating for the Zombies series). In terms of the reviews themselves, they tell a fascinating story. For example, Brennan Klein writes for ScreenRant that, while he appreciates Dawn of The Vampires “wholeheartedly embracing the pleasures inherent to original movie musicals,” one of his biggest issues is how the sidelining of Zed and Addison, the two leads of the franchise, was handled. Meanwhile, Lauren Goodman writing for Decider.com expresses great dismay, calling Dawn of The Vampires a “carbon copy” of a franchise they say should’ve ended after Zombies 3.
Despite the differing opinions between Klein and Goodman, one thing they, and many others, agreed on is the music. As a matter of fact, fans of the franchise will know of the catchy nature of its songs. “Come On Out,” “Call to the Wild,” & “One for All,” among others, have the catchy aspect. Dawn of The Vampires continues this trend, with “The Place To Be” and “Don’t Mess With Us” being the highlights for many reviewers. In addition, the two reprises, of “Someday” and “Ain’t No Doubt About It,” seen as some of the best songs of the entire franchise, help this perception further.
Its Not Perfect, But That’s Okay

All in all, Zombies 4: Dawn of The Vampires isn’t perfect for many. However, it delivers an emotionally-driven story, elevated by improved musical numbers and visuals. It may not be perfect, but many fans consider it the best film of the franchise. With the passage of time, thoughts on the film will become clearer, though for some it seems like it will stay as their favorite for the rest of their days.
